Projects I Will Never Get Around To Finishing – The Oxford ARG
The idea is that in Oxford University society the obsession is with the weight of responsibility. The ARG would run over a term, and slowly grow in scope and demand more and more from the players. Tasks would eventually take over two hours, and no one would commit to them. The game would achieve nothing more than give people something else to feel guilty about. It would end in 7th week by seeing if it can ‘break the back’ (proverbially speaking) of visible percentages of the student body. Success would be getting someone to severely drop their grades in a subject by preferring to engage in the game.
